So our family has a Christmas tradition. Every year, around Christmas and new years we make homemade ice cream. Past years have included flavors such as mocha chip, vanilla bean, coconut, gingerbread, and cinnamon. This year we continued the tradition by churning blackberry frozen yogurt two days ago and strawberry frozen yogurt today.
I found the best recipe in a surprising place, the ice cream maker manual. Who would've thought?! So here it is:
3 cups Greek yogurt
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 cups puréed fruit of your choice
Combine in ice cream maker and mix for about 30 minutes. Makes roughly 1/2 quart.
The perfect treat for new years!
