Some might remember this popular catch phrase for the classic breakfast waffles. They were one of my favorites back in that time.
Here in Japan, this phrase suprisingly has returned to me with an entirely new meaning. The Japanese word for "English" is e-i-go. Said quickly it often slurs into 'eggo'.
One of my hardest challenges has been to practice Japanese all the time, even when I'm just talking to myself. In short, I need to let go (leggo) of my (eggo). Maybe I should keep a package of these in my freezer for a reminder!
Here's an old commercial to help jog your memory.
