Dad, we love you! And it's hard to believe you were biking the streets of Tokyo with us less than 72 hours ago, eating sushi together less than 48 hours ago, and riding the subway with us yesterday morning. You have lots of people praying for you and we are holding steady in Psalm 139.
4 "Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me" 9-10 "If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me."
Ice cream at a fish market? Only the Steffen family.
First leg of the journey to Tokyo, Dad, we'll pretend we got to use these first class seats instead ;)
Exploring the inner fish market of Tsukiji
Several from the Tokyo church came to visit. It was great to have some fellowship, prayers, and we also enjoyed the tasty foods they brought as well. There is a Starbuck's inside the hospital lobby area where we've been congregating for times to call people with Skype and check our emails.
Waiting in the emergency room, mooching off Makoto's phone's hotspot to start communicating with people
Dad, We love you! And we love your lack of chopstick skills ;)
We laughed so hard when he found out he didn't have to use chopsticks to eat sushi and he could just use his hands.
