not coming home yet...

About the flight home--What do we know? or not know?

Look who mom ran into while walking back to the hotel: dads medical team! Even though they look like high schoolers don't be fooled; the guy in front, Suzuki, is one of dads doctors. And the girl to the left of mom is emi, (in the black shirt) the Christian nurse who made us the poster of Isaiah 41:10

This is a Tanabata tree that a friend, Mariko, from Bible study created for us. On July 7 is a holiday and people write their wishes on bamboo tree branches. Instead, my friend tied papers stating all of the fruits of the spirit in English and Japanese along with cute fruits. It's been a neat Christian conversation starter to our medical team.

Getting to Facetime with Bryan & Fife was such a blessing for all of us! Technology can be such a blessing when everything works like it should.

Dad's speech therapist, Mayu, who always has a way of making Dad smile.

At Tokyo church yesterday, I met Dakota, a girl who is staying with Carrie and Akihiro through a scholarship. We had a wonderful evening together and it sounds like she has been able to have many neat cultural experiences in Japan already. She is even offering her help for a few days of our VBS before she leaves.

Suctioning is getting less and less, even with the recurring pneumonia; we are thankful.

A beautiful reminder last night of God's perfection and timing as Mom was heading back to the hotel for a much needed night of rest after a long day of technology issues and medical issues.
